In this lesson, I go over: Good morning Good afternoon Good evening Hi Hello How are you? How are things? Great Good Not bad Bad Terrible What's your name? My name is... I'm... Nice to see you. Good-bye. Bye. See you. Have a nice trip. FAQs: Q: Are there two girls in the video? A: No, it's just me, Valentina. I'm using a green screen. Q: What is your native language? A: Russian. But I've lived in California since I was six years old. My parents really insisted that I continue with my Russian. Q: Are you a qualified teacher? A: Absolutely not. There are a bunch of great Russian teachers on YouTube, though, that will break this down more for you. Q: Why is this so fast? A: That's just the style of the videos. If you watch it once, you certainly won't learn anything. It's meant to be watched many times, with pauses to read the writing. Q: Why can't you say "paka" to your grandma? A: Well, not to my grandma, at least. It depends on your grandma. I just thought it'd be funny. Lighten up!
